The third annual Grass Roots Music Festival, to be held in the scenic bandstand in Mount Coot-tha's spectacular Botanical Gardens, will be held from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm on Sunday, 30 September, 2007.

Featuring a selection of Queensland's finest original roots music, the free event will include the best in local acoustic sounds, spanning influences including contemporary roots, country, blues & world music.

Performers featured on the day include local roots music stars 8 Ball Aitken & His Band, blues & country sensation Juzzie Smith, Q-Song Award winning indigenous roots band Rich Man's Hoax, acoustic songbirds Sarah McMonagle, Jaxonville, and Gemma Doyle, the colourful Eritrean Women’s Cultural Group, dynamic a capella group Tongues of Fire, and indie acoustic act the Reversals.

Recording in the studio...
We recently got back to Brisbane after recording my third album with legendary Australian musician and producer Garth Porter in Sydney.


I had an enjoyable time working with Garth and some of Australia’s top session musicians laying down my new hot, analogue, swampy 8 Ball record.

I hope you have enjoyed the live studio footage. As it becomes available we will be uploading new episodes of the studio footage for your exclusive watching and listening pleasure.
